Dr. Kelly Gibas, MA, LPCC
Owner / Chief Operating Officer Operations / Clinical Practitioner

Dr. Kelly Gibas, MA, LPCC, co-owns Bristlecone Behavioral Health in Maple Grove, MN where she specializes in client health education and preventative strategy implementation for crisis presentations including insulin resistance, Metabolic Syndrome, diabetes, obesity, PCOS, estrogen dominance, and eating disorders. She functions in a clinical liaison relationship with local health care providers to facilitate real time monitoring, clinical education and mental health services for at risk clients. Kelly authors the Newsletter, Revive and Restore, a monthly educational review on preventative health. She has been a national conference speaker presenting lectures on the physiology of eating related disorders in both the public and clinical domains; she also lectures in area high schools, colleges and facilitates diabetes education/prevention courses at Bristlecone Behavioral Health, Inc. Kelly has a B.A. in Communication/Technical Writing, an MA in Counseling Psychology and a doctorate in Clinical Behavioral Health Sciences. Kelly teaches at Bethel University in the department of Biokinetics / Human Energetics & Applied Health Science. She is also an adjunct professor at the University of Northwestern in St. Paul in the Health Psychology program where she has authored more than five courses. Most recently, she completed a clinical practicum in behavioral health on the Neuroscience Unit at Fairview Southdale Hospital. Kelly lives in Elk River, MN with her husband and their four children.

Dr. Julie Gomer, MA, LPCC
Owner / Chief Financial Officer / Clinical Practitioner

Dr. Julie Gomer, MA, LPCC, co-owns Bristlecone Behavioral Health in Maple Grove, MN. Her core expertise lies in finance, administration, and operations. Julie is responsible for all aspects of financial management, operations management, strategic business planning, market identification, strategic alliances, and personnel development. She received her BS in Education/Business, an MA from Bethel University and a doctorate in Clinical Behavior Sciences from ASU. Julie has extensive clinical experience working with eating disorder, stroke and diabetic patients. Julie has written and published a comprehensive educational curriculum, which includes three textbooks.


 

Steve Moore, MS, CPT, CET-Exercise Physiologist
Executive Manager of Training

Steve Moore, full scholarship football player, University of Minnesota, leads training team and implements cutting edge training techniques unique to individual metabolic disorders such as insulin resistance and cortisol flooding. Steve received his MA in Kinesiology/Sport Management and BS in Kinesiology with a coaching minor from the University of Minnesota. He has earned four prestigious bowl game appearances, three varsity letters, and Academic All-Big Ten honors in '06', '07 and '08. Steve also works at the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing at Abbott Northwestern Hospital as an exercise physiologist.


 

Dr. Cindy, ANP, CNP
Men and Women's Health Practitioner

Dr. Cindy has over 34 years of experience with 19 years in critical care. Her clinical experience includes surgery, family practice, internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine. While working with patients who had advanced stages of heart failure, Cindy developed a passion for disease prevention and health maintenance. Regulation of thyroid function, in addition to into treating men and women with bio-identical hormone therapies for optimal cellular protection, are her main areas of clinical focus. Cindy enjoys spending time with her husband and their adult children, gardening, camping and cooking.


 

Dr. Kelly, DNP, CNP
Nurse Practitioner

Kelly has over 25 years of experience being an RN and has been a nurse practitioner for 9 years. Her clinical experience includes hospital, homecare and Hospice, nursing home, and owning her own practice, Red Door Wellness LLC. Kelly received her BA in Nursing from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. She is certified in thyroid dysfunction diagnosis, treatment and management, adrenal fatigue, and hormone balancing. Treating patients through diet and whole food as well as using supplementation of herbs, minerals, and vitamins is the foundation Kelly's practice. In her leisure time, she enjoys camping and all nature has to offer, reading, biking, and spending time with her family.
